The Culture & Arts Policy Institute has released a new advocacy brief on New York State’s reliance on federal cultural funding. It examines the risks created by ongoing federal budget instability.
The brief analyzes how the NEA, NEH, and IMLS distribute funding across regions and organization sizes statewide. It shows where vulnerability is most concentrated and how federal uncertainty creates real operational consequences for cultural organizations.
